i bet it can be found. my call is that its on a site we've been at (i've been thinking of this since that message was sent, whether its real or fake.) if the message is fake, i still find it has a good point. we are ten more glyphs in and no one has found it. so its gotta be out there and we just keep over looking it or the writers 'forgot' to release it. while it said it was released, it wasn't 'visible' as the message says. so as i said, i bet its on a site that we've seen over and over again.
sublymonal.com
letyourcompassguideyou.com
speaker's blog
rachel's blog
flickr.com (nanite was there, and it seems that TLE uses a lot of stock photos from there)
those are just the ones that come to mind as of recently. i say lets get to covering our footsteps.

dose any one live in the big apple. if so just start taking pictures of any thing and they mite be use full. i hate when the code is a real word. i like it better when they are random letters and #'s. also #29 could be any word that was said or printed. like donut. which djdan talked alot about. we mite have to just try any thing and every thing. good luck with that.

Hey, everyone,
I've been lurking for a while, but I've been actively taking part in this game for the past couple of weeks (since shortly after Phase 3 began). I listened to DJ Dan's live podcast Friday night and was laughing my ass off the whole time. I got pretty excited when he mentioned "La Manzana Grande" and "fresh air" because I live in NYC (Queens, to be precise). Since I had the day off, I took the half-hour subway ride into Times Square today and just started walking around within the perimeter of Broadway and 7th Avenue, from around 47th Street up to 42nd Street, looking around everywhere. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it anywhere. I thought I would log in tonight and find out it's been found, and that I would kick myself once I discovered where it was, and I'm very surprised no one's found it yet.
I should be back in that area around Thursday or so (give or take a few days), so does anyone have any suggestions as to exactly where I should try looking that I haven't thought of? I've already checked store windows, street signs, the ABC studios (where Good Morning America is broadcasted from), the TKTS site, the Visitor's Center, the Virgin Megastore...I even passed by the outside of the NYPD and Army recruitment offices, and kept my eye on the ticker-tape message and digital screen above the GMA building...nada!
Times Square is a big area; any help narrowing down the location of the glyph would be appreciated.

Has anyone actually tried with the syblymonal website yet? i went on just now and wrote down a handful of the words that flash, typed in gulp and it takes you to that "Do Not Blink. Your Mind Is Being Refreshed" video on you tube, if you pause it around the 16 second mark towards the bottom right side of the clip it clearly says "Code:Scan" surely this will be leading somewhere! does anyone know or have tried?

Scan also flashes as a syblymonal message and just takes you to another YouTube Advert.

rctheaet- strobe and photosensitive have little to do with epilepy- in extreme cases they may bring them on e.g. sat watching big brother, with camera lights flashing all over the place. Otherwise, light cases of epilepsy aren't commonly brought on by this. I should know, i have epilepsy and strobe lighting doesn't breing on mine, stress does. however, mine is just a mild condition..........

they also did Monster.com & Jeep Compass sites, sound familiar?

My guess is that it's a burp in the code that causes the clips to mysteriously end up back in the top holding area. 44 codes now.

romanp2 |
August 18, 2006 9:44 PM
Maddi: it's a glitch on the site. You have to place a clip in the tray (the area at the top) before you change its position in the sequence. Save frequently. Follow the same pattern always: take clip from the tray, place it on the sequence, analize, play, save. If you want to change a clip's position, put it on the top first.

I just noticed something that is maybe related to the glyph #42.
There were three different Flickr photo albums introduced in the ARG: Mandrake's, Trevtrevtrever's and Rachel's album.
The URL's are:
flickr.com/photos/mandrakewig
flickr.com/photos/trevtrevtrevor
flickr.com/photos/38184554@N00
It seems odd to me that Rachel's Flickr album doesn't have lehcarekalb in the url.
What do you think?
I'm sorry if this was already discussed, I'm new here.

i'm sure this is old news but @ DJdans website has a link at the top from Sublymonal which fills in as Pyramids when you try and type in it.
I've tried this code as a glyph and at sublymonal but it doesn't work, but the pyramid link at the bottom of the page now works and take sme to http://www.djdan.am/podcast-c.html but that doesn't seem to work on my pc just a small grey box appears?
Can anyone explain?

TRANSCRIPT: Hanso - "Your reasearch is intended to do nothing less than save the world as we know it"
follows VIX7ZXT97, precedes XIGZ2Y10S2
#52
CODE: GZ2I
TRANSCRIPT: Hanso - "A radio transmitter has also been erected on the island"

Yeah, thats a bit like here in Scotland. Beginning to feel like we always t left out aswell. Apparently it wasn't go to your local
Forbidden Planet in the UK after all. What they really meant was in England. Cos I went to the one in Glasgow, Scotland and they sad it was just the English ones, which was pretty annoying as I had to make a decent effort to get there and never got a bar after all. Still annoyed that I didn't get a bar.
So note to TPTB or whatever, The UK is more than England!

hey guys, this is the one and only time i'll mention this, i promise. over at
www.zudayriddles.blogspot.com
i have compiled, as you'd guess, a riddle section. there are 12 riddles, with 2 unsolved. When an unsolved riddle is solved, that person gains a point. this will continue til the end of the ARG, and then the final leaderboard will show the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best riddler. it'll be good fun, so have a go. you can still get ya first 2 points now, if ya hurry.
good luck!!!

Sadly not so. Only UK and US. Ninja is trying to 'smuggle' some to AUS but that's it. When people upload pics they can of course input another location, e.g. their home country or their dream home from home.

So I checked out the tropicstravel.com website, and none of the pictures were loading, but there was a phone number. I called the main line, and it was busy, but I found a number for Daphne Garand, a travel agent. Called it, it rang, a guy picked up and I asked if this was Tropics Travel, and he said it was. I played it off like I was calling to tell him the website wasn't working right. I can't really tell if this is a real travel agency or an in-game thing. Sounded legit on the phone (though the guy said "Hello?" when he answered instead of "Tropics Travel"), but the website looks subpar for a real travel agency. Is anyone else having trouble with the website's pictures loading? Or did anyone else call the numnber? Oh, one more thing. He asked me where I was directed to his website, and I said I saw an ad on monster.com and I clicked it, so I wonder if they're in on it.

Ever think that people get into this stuff because normal life, and the woes associated with it are too overwhelming to take into account? It's called escapism, it's what all good fiction does. Let us, the people, have our time away from worrying about how bad the world is, and don't try to make people feel bad about caring about something that doesn't matter to you.

I just read the comments of both oobersheep and Ben, and while I gotta say I largely agree with Ben, I think oobersheep raises at least a curious question. What if we enjoy ourselves going nuts during the summer with this awesome game--but then,(in theory) why not spend some time during the year applying our amazing diligence, intelligence, and cooperation to a real life cause or two...could the police or military use our help tracking baddies who use the internet (child pornographers, even terrorists)? I don't know. Probably. All I know is we've got, as I said above, the united man-power and certainly the cleverness and talent to do it. How cool would it be to not only be wonderfully devoted fans to a fabulous show/story, but to also be fans who give a little back as well? Maybe it might be just as fun tracking and bagging the real baddies from time to time too. I don't know...but I do know, however, that I don't regret TLE at all and Lost rocks, and I'm having a blast and it is indeed a welcome distraction. Although I think Ben's got it, oobersheep's question isn't invalid.

Im not saying anyone is wasting their time. nor do i begrudge people the chance to 'down tools' and escape for a while, or how ever long they need to. without escapism we would all probably top our sleves or somthing. Im not getting at people or their hobbies. I am not trying to lay guilt on anyone. Im not in any postion to be a judge. I dont even know you people. you could all be in the peace corps for all i know. I was just... i dont know pointing out how ironic, maybe how expressing my own frustrations, venting if you will.
I have my own life, i play this game and i do what i do. I dont expect every one to jump on my moral bandwagon, arm up and take on the evils of the world. Just maybe cause some thought.
But hey I love lost and cant get enough of it.so please do feel im trying to give anyone a hard time.

First of all, thanks jamboni for the back up :), and to oobersheep, after reading your latest comment, don't feel like you have to backpedal...it's tough on any internet board to give a comment b/c people will read it without seeing you, hearing your tone, knowing your personal context. Ben could've typed a little less harsh-sounding a reply, however valid his point. You're right that's it's important to "just cause some thought." I think we can all agree that "thought" is what the Lost experience is all about--and it's just as important to think about the game as it is to think about WHY we are playing the game and what unique position us Lost fans have in current social-pop culture. Okay...I will get out of the pulpit now, I promise, lol.

those of you who like the lost experience are liking all the conspiracy stuff right? exposing the underhanded behaviour by powerful people?
-
it is a bit of fun, but check this: here in the uk, sum of us hav 3 bins, one is a recycling bin, for recyclable products.
-
anyway, someone found a chip bedded in the rim of the bin. we checked ours and we have one to. lots of people here have them, the council/governments put them there without our knowledge. is that right?
-
i just thought i wud give this sum exposure
-
anyhow, come on glyphs, its getting tedious

Fairly common knowlege. Not to piss on your chips but thats merely to check if your using it often. As some towns are better at recycling than others, if it goes unused for a length of time you probably get a letter asking why not and encouraged to use it.

thanx 4 ur response Acg00 but it's not neccessarily what the chips are used for but the fact they were placed their without our knowledge, to find out something about us.
i'll close this message here becos this is the glyph comments not the conspiracy comments lol

I'm guessing its maybe becuse it is a fan site. Well at least it appears so. It links to other fan sites (which are based on Widmore) and the copyright dates would be wrong if it is meant to be the same race Desmond was on, which would have been nearer 1998.

I've been away for a while but was there anything of interest in the Appollo Bars wrappers??
Posted by:
xchicane |
September 4, 2006 1:07 PM
There wasn't anything in the wrappers as such. The bar had the text www.wherisalvar.com written on it. Going to this site you find a website that you an upload pictures of yourself with a bar.
Some of the bars however were rare version called golden oracle bars. These had a gold foil part on the outside of the wrapper (where a barcode would be?) which have codes on them. These can be entered on the whereisalvar website. What these lead to is, as of yet, still unknown.

ok been to www.whereisalvar.com I was wondering why the numbers of bars were so odd? why not 25 oracle bars? why 528 normal bars why not 530 to round it up?
Are they just being awkward or is there some significance?

It will be anti-climatic because we saw this video build small piece by small piece. So for someone who might see it in its entirety for the first time, might think its answered some pretty good questions, but we have seen these same questions answered in incomplete sections giving us a less that "Holy-crap this is fantastic" feeling. So for those of us who have been piecing it together, it will feel like "We waited for this?!" Oh well better than nothing right.

6 numbers
6 stations on the island
Each station researches one of the core values of the valenzetti equation
The #'s represent the importance of the feild of study -
Meterorology/mathmatical weather forcasting
Psychology/Mental health
Parapsychology
Zoology
Electromagnetism
Utopian social
So Which number represents which?

Rousseau is talking to Sayid about a music box. She said that "her love" Robert gave it to her on their anniversary. Robert was also on the boat with her as part of the science team. She later says that she shot and killed him because he was sick.
